Cowboy Poetry just seems to strike a chord with our rural roots.  Some poems, like our Songs, have a message, some are just for fun.  

To me, the knowing nod of a grey old head, under a cowboy hat, perched above a pair of bowed legs, will always be the best meter to certify a “cowboy poem” or a “cowboy poet”.  I appreciate“cowboy poetry”with verse in rhyme and meter and the more credible the better.
